It’s like an episode of Top Chef — only without the cutthroat competition and for a much better cause.
Michael Higgins of Maldaner’s, David Radwine of Sangamo Club, Caitie Barker of Caitie Girls’ and Patrick Groth of Incredibly Delicious will join forces to cater A High Tea at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 24, and on Sunday, Jan. 31, at Temple Israel, 1140 W. Governor St. The local celebrity chefs will prepare a menu of tea sandwiches, scones and cakes to pair with two types of tea for the traditional English afternoon tea.
Tickets are $18 in advance and $20 at the door. All proceeds benefit the Chaverim program, the Springfield Jewish Federation’s social service program for seniors.
