The folks at The Legacy Theatre cooked up a Christmas film treat for the people of Springfield this weekend. Instead of watching your two favorite holiday classics on your television at home, come out with other holiday and film enthusiasts to savor and view It’s a Wonderful Life Friday night on the theater’s grand screen. White Christmas airs Saturday night, Dec. 17. Both shows are general admission and begin at 8 p.m. The Legacy Theatre offers also a Rankin-Bass Christmas Special Spectacular on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 17-18, beginning at 2 p.m. For free, see Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer, Santa Claus is Coming to Town and The Year Without a Santa Claus. Movie-goers are asked to bring a new, non-wrapped toy for Toys-for-Tots to the Rankin-Bass Christmas shows.
