HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH is the critically acclaimed off-Broadway rock musical which tells the story of the "internationally ignored song stylist," Hedwig, a gender-bending young East German lad who undergoes a botched sex change operation in a bid to emigrate to America.
In her latest appearance in a string of underground nightclubs, Hedwig takes to the stage with her band, "The Angry Inch," to tell her story of love, loss and identity. Both heartfelt and inherently comedic, Hedwig never fails to be thought-provoking.
Hedwig manages to pay tribute to a small pantheon of rockers, from David Bowie to Lou Reed to Iggy Pop.
