Jim

I visited the memorial recently and noticed a name on the list of POW's- the name of Jerry Pool.  I recognized his name since he was involved in exfiltrating a Special Forces SOG recon team in Cambodia on March 24, 1970.  A buddy of mine, John Boronski, was on that team.  They were BNR for almost 30 years, but their remains have been recovered and buried in a mass grave at Arlington National Cemetary.  I found the grave during a visit two years ago, and can send you a picture of it.  According to reports I've obtained, there is some doubt by Mrs. Pool that her husband has been returned, since his remains were not individually identified, while others in the group have been.  So technically, Jerry is no longer a POW- he is home.  Sincerely, Jim Schreifels,,aka ripcord489@hotmail.com.   PS- I think it's on the west side of the WWII memorial, the word 'shown'................should be spelled 'shone'.  The one on the opposite sidem is the correct usuage of 'shown'.
