From his prolific recording output to consistent live music performances in an array of combos, singer-songwriter, guitarist and bandleader Micah Walk is an integral part of making music around town. Last year using a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds, the Girard native went to Los Angeles and made a record with big-name producer Jamie Candiloro (Willie Nelson, Ryan Adams, R.E.M.). The 12 tracks of Walk-penned tunes were recorded in two weeks at Candiloro’s LA studio, mixed by the Grammy-nominated producer and mastered at Marcussen Mastering. The album design came courtesy of Sarah Grinder with illustrations by Felicia Olin. Walk hooked a few industry bites on the music content and continues to work to promote the brilliant sounding record. For the CD release show he’s recruited a crew of friends, who just happen to be many of our finest local musicians including Dave Littrell, guitar; Michael Sullivan, guitar; Chris Miller, keyboards; Jeff Cunningham, bass and Brandt Sitze, drums; with Ian Wick and Elizabeth Eckert on background vocals.
