A story within a story

Don’t miss Brooklyn The Musical, a story within a story about a troupe of street performers, five homeless musicians known as the City Weeds, who perform theater pieces via a makeshift stage on a street corner located underneath the Brooklyn bridge. During Brooklyn the Musical, the City Weeds perform a play about a young Parisian singer named Brooklyn, who has come to the U.S. as an orphan in search for her absentee father. Brooklyn The Musical, sponsored by Ashley Coker of the Real Estate Group, runs November 10-12, with show times at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission costs $20 for adults and $18 for students and seniors over age 60. To purchase tickets to Brooklyn The Musical, visit http://hcfta.org or call the Hoogland’s box office at 523-2787.
