A play at the Place

Don’t miss Peculiar Inspirations, a fictitious theatre piece about modern Springfield writer Amy Lombard, who has been commissioned to write a play about Abraham Lincoln. An information-gathering mission has lead Amy to Edwards Place, where she comes face to face with muses such as Mary Lincoln, Thomas Lincoln and William Herndon, who are all dying to tell their side of the story. Will Amy, with the aid of Abraham Lincoln, be able to set the record straight and write a play that does justice to all involved parties? Admission to Peculiar Inspirations is just $15 for SAA members and $20 for non-members. A dessert reception will follow the performance, and all proceeds support the continued restoration of Edwards Place. To purchase tickets to Peculiar Inspirations, visit http://edwardsplace.org.
