Based out of Chicago, this quartet of possible punks (the musical kind) formed in 1998 using “’90s alternative and ’80s punk with a dash of midwestern roots-rock” to create a modern, American rock band worthy of the title. Dave Lysien, who cut his teeth with infamous punk band Not Rebecca, fronts the band, and the singer, songwriter and guitarist is joined in making melodic mayhem by longtime friends and fellow musicians Rick Uncapher on bass (Dan Vapid & The Cheats, ex-Woolworthy), Mark Doyle on drums (ex-Loud Lucy, Verbow) and Dan Knapik (ex-Not Rebecca, Venom Lords) on guitar. Veterans of hitting the road, including three tours abroad, the guys are the proud owners of five full-length CDs, had cuts on the TV shows “Real World: Sydney” and “Living Lohan,” plus have a darn good time hanging out and making music together. Local rockers Sam West & the Nightshift are also on the bill and plan to release a CD/EP called The Medicine That Swallowed the Patient as part of the night’s pageantry.
