An innovative illusionist

On Sunday, Feb. 11, 3 p.m., take in an unforgettable performance by Vitaly Beckman, an innovative Russian illusionist who views magic as a form of art and strives to bring art to life using magic. Vitaly appeared on Penn and Teller’s British-American television show titled “Fool Us,” in 2016, where he successfully fooled the famous duo using a photograph-card trick. In his latest show, titled “A World of Wonders,” Vitaly will astound the audience with dazzling illusions, such as faces that disappear from driver’s licenses, self-painting paintbrushes, photographs that come to life, and more. Tickets for “Vitaly: A World of Wonder” start at $11 for youth and $17 for adults, and can be purchased online at http://sangamonauditorium.org or by calling the Sangamon Auditorium box office at 206-6160.
