Tour three of Springfield’s top visual arts galleries during the Passport Gallery Tour on Friday, March 9. The reception for “Ambience” will be held at the Springfield Art Association Collective Gallery (420 S. Sixth St.) from 5-8 p.m., and features the photography of David Brodsky, the abstract and landscape paintings of John Hayes, the ceramics and paintings of Gary Beaumont, as well as new works by the SAA Collective’s 85+ member artists. The reception for “Cosmos” will be held at The Pharmacy Gallery & Art Space (711 S. Fifth St.) from 6-9 p.m., and features music, video, lights and new artworks by Pharmacy member artists depicting the exhibition’s theme of the cosmos. The Springfield Art Association’s M.G. Nelson Family Gallery (700 N. Fourth St.) will host the opening reception for the three Enos Park artists-in-residence exhibitions from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Passports will be available for pickup at all three participating galleries, and attendees who have their passports stamped at all three exhibitions are encouraged to turn in their passport to The Pharmacy Gallery and Art Space by 8:45p.m. for a chance to win artwork by participating Passport Gallery Tour artists.
