Comcast Gives Back

In a ceremony at the Crowne Plaza Springfield, the Comcast Foundation made $10,000 donations to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Illinois Capital Region and Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Illinois, to help them carry out their missions to help young people reach their potential.  Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Illinois Capital Region will use the funds to support its mentoring programs, which match adult volunteers with children ages six through 18 in order to develop positive mentoring relationships with direct and lasting effect on the children’s lives.  Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Illinois will use the funds to support its “My.Future” program, a digital platform that teaches club youth digital literacy skills, ranging from internet safety, typing and web searches to media collaboration and gaming.
