The Aspect

The Aspect

Conceived by Bill McKenzie (bass, vocals) as a “collection of local musicians from different bands who get together now and again for recording projects of live performances around particular themes,” the Aspect is not your average, everyday band. Last seen presenting the Beatles catalogue, the Fab Four are so all-encompassing and so ingrained in the makeup of the participating musicians, the Aspect again tackles the well-loved songs of John, Paul, George and Ringo. McKenzie’s lineup for this edition includes Lori McKenzie (vocals) and Nat Radwine (hand drums) from Emerald Underground, Brian Curtis (keyboards, vocals) from the Oohs, Jeff Helton (guitar, vocals) from Ockham’s Razor and Bob Wagner (drums) from Real Time. Along with performing favorite Beatles tunes, the musicians work in Mop Top trivia questions and, of course, the famed Stump the Band segment of the Aspect show. Other possible themes for future performances include Chicago blues and original songs from group members, with audience suggestions always entertained.
