Please notice this is not until next Thursday, but something as good as this deserves a heads up. Shelley Miller is a fantastic singer and songwriter as well as an accomplished guitarist. She calls Chicago home, performing regularly at cool spots around the Windy City with shows done at the Old Town School of Folk Music, Millennium Park, the Chicago Folk and Roots Festival, plus appearances at the National Women’s Music Festival, Estrojam, Ladyfest Lansing, the Queer is Folk Festival and Taste of Champaign. Miller, also known for her regular teaching position at Old Town, hooked up with our Micah Walk during his expatriate stay in Chicago last year. He sings on several songs recorded for Miller’s latest release, When It’s All Gone, You Come Back, a sweet record produced in an acoustic way with touches of pop attitudes by John Abbey and Miller at New Soup Studio in Chicago.
