From humble beginnings in southern Illinois as a rockin’ country cover band, Sable now charts on the record listings and performs at major festivals while making the march toward music stardom. Known best locally as the house band at Fast Eddie’s near Alton, the group, fronted by Jeff Sable on guitar and vocals, keeps climbing the business ladder one rung at a time. With brother Chris Sable on bass and vocal harmonies, Mike Downing on sax, midi wind controller, and vocals, and Jake Hanselman keeping the drum beat, the band is managed by Dr. Charles “Max” E. Million of Million Dollar Artists and records on American Eagle Recordings. Other accomplishments include a recent California video shoot, USO tours, constant bookings across North America and continued music industry interest. The Sable brothers do most of their own songwriting, taking pride in keeping the music down to earth and the lyrics about real life. Above all they’re best known for a righteously good live show.
