Alabaster Brown

St. Louis-based band Alabaster Brown spent a good deal of 2010 traveling the country, especially in the Midwest and up and down the East Coast with festival stops at Springjam at Camp Zoe in Salem, Mo., Summercamp in Chillicothe, Ill., Mountain Jam in Woodstock, N.Y., and North Coast Festival in Chicago. The rockin’ roots quartet featuring Nate Parienti (vocals, guitar, mandolin), Carson Mann (vocals, lead guitar, Dobro, lap steel), Dave Clark (drum kit) and Sonny White (bass) shows no signs of slowing with an upcoming week in Colorado and then more Midwest-East Coast travels. With a new record planned for early 2011, the group, known for its trademark “Mississippi Mud Stomp,” continues to expand creatively with original material while paying tribute to heroes John Hartford, Bob Dylan, Grateful Dead, Neil Young and other legendary Americana artists in music performance and presentation.
