Peggy Lowder and Harry Lounsberry

These two seasoned veterans of the local music scene recently collaborated on a CD of original tunes and intend to perform them at the CD release show. Conceived by Lounsberry (vocals, keyboards), Lowder (vocals, percussion) contributed to the production as the two performing songwriters combined to create a project designed to “capture an audience that can relate to the songs and gain a positive outlook from them.” The tunes reflect Lowder’s 30-some years of writing and Lounsberry’s more recent efforts. Recorded locally, So Blu Too includes the talents of Springfield musicians Don Udey (trumpet), Bill Evans (blues guitar), Kevin Roberts (bass guitar) and Luke Turasky (country guitar) along with Carson Clark Mann (slide guitar) from the St. Louis area. Lowder credits the late Jerry Turley for inspiration and wisdom and describes the recorded music as “contemporary country blues songs straight from the heart.”
