A diverse group of percussionists and musicians will descend on the Firefighters Postal Lake Club for DrumFest, a day of drumming, entertainment and clinics that anyone can participate in for free. Ben Sesar headlines the lineup of music that begins at 2 p.m. Sesar, who has played or recorded with the likes of Dolly Parton, The Black Crows, Buck Owens, John Mayer and B.B. King, has been the drummer for country singer Brad Paisley for 11 years and is also a Grammy-winning songwriter for best country instrumental, Throttleneck. He will head a clinic along with some of the best drum instructors in the area beginning at noon. Besides contributions to a silent auction, donations can be made to Operation Comfort Warriors, but organizers say it’s not required to get in. Sponsored by Daddy O’s Music Shack and Ludwig drums.
