Here’s a music business story with a happy twist and one that continues an upward spiral. Rather than the usual tale of playing music from the cradle, Bleu Edmondson first picked up a guitar and “started writing songs because he didn’t know what else to do” during his college years. After recording a few self-penned tunes, he took the bold step of approaching legendary music producer and instrumentalist Lloyd Maines of Texas, who liked what he heard. With the Maines production experience behind the rock solid songs, Edmondson soon had a popular album and requested tunes in the land of Texas. Now with his latest record, The Future Ain’t What it Used to Be spawning a #1 song, “Blood Red Lincoln,” the surging singer is taking it to the nation. And yes, this is three weeks in a row the Old 36 Inn has captured the Band Spotlight with up and coming, hard hitting country acts. Salute!!
