All the right moves
Sunday, March 25, is the Central Illinois premiere, and national tour kickoff, of the film Romanza by director and producer Michael Miner. The 87-minute documentary captures the complete Golden State works of Frank Lloyd Wright, with unprecedented access to all 25 buildings. Even his unfinished structures are featured in this movie, as is his smallest design, a doghouse, for his youngest and poorest client, a child. Two viewings are set, one at 12:30 p.m. and another at 2:30 p.m. Miner will introduce the film and take questions following its showing. A replica of the doghouse, named Eddie’s House, will be on display along with copies of the original plans and correspondence. Miner’s other Frank Lloyd Wright films are Sacred Spaces and Children of the Sun. The Dana-Thomas House Foundation and Springfield Section of the American Institute of Architects sponsor this free and fascinating event.
