Weekend photos from the capital city
A look into the crowd from the podium at a full house Friday night at Prairie Art Alliance Gallery II during Poets, Painters and Performers. Poets Mark Russillo and Thea Chesley have a couple warm, happy smiles for the camera. Directly behind them in pink and black, Poet Shawna Mayer. All are members of Springfield Poets and Writers. Below is Mark and Thea with PAA interim Executive Director Jennifer Snopko and PAA Gallery II docent Keely who both put a lot of work into the event.

The Vachel Lindsay Home was getting a new paint job on its front porch.
So we had to got around to the side door. But I got this great photo of the home and one of its trees.
Dan's reading was very interesting and he had large photographs to accompany his talk and reading on historic homes.
And last but not least, a painted Lincoln hat in downtown Springfield. Do you know where this is and who painted it?
