Historic race


Illinois Motorcycle Dealers Association has a full weekend of racing planned for Memorial Day weekend. On Friday, May 24, American Motorcycle Association amateur TT will start at 5 p.m. A pro class was added to the event and grandstand tickets are only $10. Saturday, May 25, the AMA All Star TT race starts at 7 p.m. For families looking for a deal – this race is only $20. Sunday, May 26, the action heads to the lightning-fast Springfield Mile track. The historic race has a reputation for lead changes twice a lap and drafting wars that impress race fans of every discipline. And don’t miss race of legends with past Grand National Championship event winners Jay Springsteen, Joe Kopp, Rich King, Ronnie Jones, Steve Beattie, Steve Morehead, Mike Hacker and Chris Carr participating in the race. AMA Dirt Track Grand Championships crowning amateur and youth champions in individual dirt-track disciplines, including half-mile, TT and short-track events is May 28-31.
