With a new album produced by Chad Gray and Greg Tribbett of Mudvayne out in May of 2010 and fresh from a sweet spot on the main stage of OzzFest tour, the South Florida hard rock quartet Nonpoint is out to make a point. The debut single Miracle charted higher than any other from the band’s previous several releases and now the latest, Frontlines, dedicated to the members of the U.S. military, is advancing well. Together since 1997, Nonpoint still boasts three out of four original members, including frontman and lead vocalist Elias Soriano, bassist Ken “Bastard” MacMillan and drummer Robb Rivera with newest Nonpoint-er, guitarist Zach Broderick, joining up in 2010. Always going full bore and with both barrels, the prolific and energetic group portrays its hard-hitting music with descriptive terms such as, “kicks maximum ass” and “grace and thunder” with specific actions described as “ferocious leads” and “hammering rhythms” complementing the singer’s “distinctive narrative voice.” This means they rock out hard and fast and do it with absolute gusto.
