From Buck to Beck: Dwight Yoakam at PCCC tonight

A country star playing the Prairie Capital Convention Center? STOP THE PRESSES!

Sarcasm aside, Dwight Yoakam - who performs at the PCCC this very evening - isn't anyone's idea of a typical country star. A unique and versatile artist, Yoakam has spent decades crossing stylistic lines, drawing as deeply from the Bakersfield sound pioneered by Buck Owens as from '70s country rock and modern alt country, simultaneously pursuing a successful film acting career, with notable character turns in dramas like Sling Blade and The Minus Man.

Yoakam has a stellar reputation as a live performer and is touring behind his recent 3 Pears, produced in part by eccentric pop star Beck, who took the helm for single A Heart Like Mine.

Showtime is 7PM tonight, tickets available at the PCCC box office or by clicking here.
