Bruce Katz Band

When so many blues cats play guitar while the blues master is on keyboards, the music is that much more special. When the dude on the keys is Bruce Katz, you are indeed in for a very special, special treat. Bruce is one of the world’s best performers of blues on the Hammond B-3 organ and has a lifetime of street cred to back up the hype. The four-time Blues Music Award nominee came to national prominence jamming with Ronnie Earl & The Broadcasters and has graced the stage with the Delbert McClinton Band, Big Mama Thornton, Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band and John Hammond. He can also claim membership in both the Gregg Allman Band (2003-13) and with Butch Trucks (The Allman Brothers Band drummer) and the Freight Train Band for some real, big-time, on-stage playing. Currently Katz is on the road taking his own jam-blues band on a “Highway to the Heartland” tour by hitting famed blues clubs in the Midwest (besides The Alamo), including Zoo Bar in Lincoln, Nebraska, and the Slippery Noodle in Indianapolis, Indiana.
