German games, beer and food

 

Celebrate all things German on Saturday, September 15 during the Jacksonville Rotary Club Oktoberfest. This fabulous festival, originally began in October but is now moved to September in order to take advance of the mild, late-summer weather, offers a jam-packed schedule of events, including live music from the Heidelberg German Band and Captain Geech and the Shrimp Shack Shooters; games such as wiener dog races, a keg toss, a beer stein race, the stein endurance challenge and a bags tournament; plus beers, wine tastings, food service and more. Advance tickets to the Jacksonville Rotary Oktoberfest can be purchased from any Rotarian, at the Jacksonville County Market or the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce for $4 per person.
