Interested in and exposed to live music since he was young, Springfield native Adam Maletich steered things to another level by studying guitar and piano at Millikin University in Decatur, graduating in 2012. Adam took his musical learnings in finger-style guitar picking and piano playing and added in some singer-songwriter prowess to make his recording debut in 2014 with a seven song CD/EP titled Over the Edge. Now in the process of producing a second album, Adam is out for more live performances to enhance and engage his sound and songs. (He’s also playing at Buzz Bomb Brewing Co. on Saturday, Jan. 12). Adam claims influences from contemporary artists such as The Fray, Ron Pope, Andrew McMahon and Andy McKee. He also teaches guitar and piano at Key Players Music Studio. Expect to hear a variety of original music and selected covers all played with pleasing aplomb and precise performance from this talented and gifted musician out to make a musical mark on our world.
