Inhabited at the SAA Collective
Inhabited, an exhibit at the Springfield Art Association’s Collective gallery, features the works of Skyler McGee, Rick Larimore and Kate Worman-Becker. Using diverse techniques and drawing inspiration from the world around them, these artists use the natural world to bind together the spaces we inhabit. McGee’s work provides a visual space to explore the experienced complexity of place, its beauty and difficulty. Larimore studied art at Parkland College, woodcarving at Ohio University and botany at Eastern Illinois University. He uses his education and experiences to create sculptures in wood. Worman-Becker’s award-winning paintings have been selected in numerous national and international exhibitions throughout the Midwest. She currently teaches at the art association. The exhibit, sponsored by Brandt Consolidated, Inc., runs through March 7. The gallery is open Tuesday and Wednesday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday, 12-7 p.m. It is free and open to the public.
