Shop local to find delicious ingredients for your holiday meal during the December Springfield Holiday Farmers Market on Saturday, Dec. 22 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The State House Inn. The free event features more than 30 vendors selling a variety of products such as pasture-raised meats, eggs, honey, cheese, greens, carrots, potatoes, turnips, radishes, sunchokes, winter squashes and more plus baked goods, wine and local gifts. Also during the event, Slow Food Springfield will offer children’s activities and lunch will be available for purchase courtesy of Smart Natured. Future dates for the Springfield Winter Farmers Markets are Jan. 19, Feb. 16, March 16 and April 20.
