Up, up and away! See 34 hot air balloons rise to the skies starting Friday for the Balloons Over 66 weekend. All balloon flights and evening balloon "glows" will take place at one location this year – Open Arms Lincoln, 1321 Illinois 10. There are plenty of flights scheduled both in the mornings and evenings. However, there are no tethered balloon rides scheduled this year but rides can be purchased by contacting a pilot. Besides the beautiful balloons, this annual popular event includes a downtown art fair, vendor show, barbecue competition, Dock Dogs, 5K race, children's activities, bags tournament, food trucks and lots more including a parade of Porsches. And we can't forget the live music – Off the Wall will play Friday night and Silas Tockey and Stereo Typical will perform Saturday.
