Stone Cold Blues Band

One of the all time best experiences in live music must be experiencing seasoned popular musicians familiar with each other performing songs they care for and know well. The Stone Cold Blues Band fits this idea to a “T” with three of the finest and most adept veterans of the local scene steeped in blues, r & b and jazz playing the show. Kenneth Pollard (known popularly as K.P) does the soulful singing and plays guitar like nobody else around, George Dew mans the keyboard with a serious left hand on the funky bass runs and John Coss lays down a sweet and deep percussion pocket on the drums with a layering of jazz inflections. The trio plays from the classic songbook inspired by the likes of Albert Collins, Little Milton, Albert King, BB King, Al Green, George Benson, Johnny Taylor, Stevie Wonder, and Bobby “Blue” Bland as well as many other great talents of the past from this particularly rich genre of American music born from the blues.
