Grab-A-Java has been doing its thing for more than 20 years. And one of the aspects our capital city particularly loves are the banners hanging outside the store that always catch our eye and make us laugh or take note. But what really makes a coffee house is the quality of the product and friendly and fast service.

We remember when coffee choices were as simple as cream and sugar. But no matter the choices, Springfield knows that the only thing that counts in the morning is taste and flavor. And that's why Grab-A-Java gets the nod for another year. Its dedication to the craft of brewing the perfect cup has earned it our readers' respect – not just for its many varieties, but also because of the ease its drive-thru offers.

You're virtually guaranteed to find your preferred drink on its menu. Grab-A-Java certainly has the coffee bean covered – from cappuccinos, lattes and mochas to café Americano. But there's so much more than coffee – like smoothies, chai, hot chocolate and teas. Heck, there's even the "puppuccino" for our fury friends (on the house, natch). And, to pair with the drinks, there's a wide assortment of freshly baked goods for those that left home having skipped that most important meal of the day.

Fortunately, there will soon be even more places to enjoy Grab-A-Java. Construction began this summer on what will become the third location at 300 Chatham Road, joining one on South Sixth Street and one out west on Hedley Road.
