"Once and Again: Alterations"

Free

Generally using needle and thread for self-expression, Susan Lenz works in her studio in Columbia, South Carolina to articulate the accumulated memory inherent in discarded things. She seeks a partnership with her materials, their purposes, values, and familiar associations. Memory, universal mortality, and personal legacy are central themes.

Susan's work has appeared in national publications, numerous juried exhibitions, and at fine craft shows including the Philadelphia Museum of Art and Smithsonian Craft Shows.
